The Rocking T Ranch is owned and managed by horse-lovers Dennis and Mariette Tipton. Dennis has been riding his entire life. He even took his horse with him when he went to college at the University of Georgia. When Dennis retired after 30 years as a teacher, administrator and school superintendent, he and his wife, Mariette, began planning The Rocking T.
Mariette worked for 14 years as a special education teacher and continues to work as a parent advisor for deaf/blind infants. She had never been around horses; but when she fell in love with Dennis, she caught his contagious passion for these spirited and magnificent creatures. Mariette is also a certified travel advisor and loves to plan vacations. Her specialties include cruises, river cruising and travel to Africa. She is also a Dude Ranch Specialist. Dennis is in the Extreme Cowboy Challenge hall of Fame and an experienced horseman and educator who loves to teach others about horsemanship. Dennis placed 8th the world finals of the Extreme Cowboy Challenge held in Oklahoma, November 2011. Dennis will be glad to help train you and your horse to compete with obstacles. Hello, we are the Zabiegala's, Alan and Jackie. We recently moved to Georgia from Ohio. We have lived in Ohio are whole life. Jackie and I have been married for 34 years. We have two grown children, Matt and Jill. Matt has recently received his Master’s degree in Music from Rutgers. Jill has a degree in Equine Studies from Findlay College. Jackie is a graduate of Tri-C College with a degree in Dental Hygiene. I also studied at Tri-C for Business and have been Security licensed and Insurance.
I have been in the financial field most of my career, from manager to owning my own financial firm. I’ve had horses all my life and for the last several years been a Thoroughbred Horse Trainer in Ohio.
My love of horses has always been a passion of mine. I currently have a horse in Ohio that will be running there and when he’s done will be joining me here at the ranch. In my opinion the horse always comes first. Every horse I’ve had has always been a pet.
My hobbies are horses, golf, bowling, watching football, spending time with our granddaughter Harper, and grilling anything on the grill. I’m looking forward to the wonderful opportunity that the Tipton’s have given me and family and looking forward to meeting everyone at the ranch.
